Colourfaux Taxidermy

As a former prop maker and event stylist in New Zealand for theatre, events, festivals and film, I was always dismayed by the amount of waste we produced.

So now, having returned to the UK, I’m trying to make up for it by incorporating  recycled elements into my colourful faux taxidermy beasties. I put discontinued upholstery fabric sample books and offcuts and remnants to good use. I even give the plastic film and back and front covers a second life in my workshop. Plaques are made using offcuts from other projects, or old doors and drawers from modified and refinished furniture.

I regularly add new critters to my website, and am slowly building my menagerie. Currently you can find hares, foxes, roe deer and badgers. This week, I have a rhino in the making – my biggest beast yet, and I’m really excited about it!  You can pick from pre-made, or request a custom-make in the colour and style of your choice.
