For luxury with a true sustainable ethos, The Recycled Candle Company’s handcrafted candles are made from 100% recycled wax reclaimed from hotels, restaurants, churches and homes. Made at our Exeter shop, the candles are perfumed with bespoke fragrances that have evocative names such as Watercolour, Theology, Smoke and newest fragrance, Blonde Tobacco & Honey. We create pillars, hearts, squares, large-sized candles, tin gift sets – and for the festive season, Christmas tree candles with our Winter Spice fragrance.
We accept donations of all types of candles to meltdown, filter and use again. This includes tealights, as we can recycle the metal sustainers. The lowest grade wax is used for beautiful firelighters, made with flowers and foliage foraged locally with some donated by a florist.
We’re the only company doing what we do in the UK, and possibly the world. Our efforts mean that around 400kg of used wax is kept out of landfill each month and we aim to increase that figure as our business grows.
