“I’m Kerry from Little Roadway Farm a small farm shop in Woolacombe, we are passionate about the environment and strive to be a plastic free, sustainable, waste free business, which leads my brain down a creative minefield!!
You will usually find me making bees wax wraps, reusable sandwich and snack wraps, scrunchies from repurposed fabric, it could be duvet covers, skirts, shirts or any scraps of fabric that have been donated, a lot of people know of our business in the village and I am always being given a bag of fabric scraps or wool!! But our best selling products are our reusable Christmas crackers, I have 2 styles available, your basic plain coloured felt and as call them ‘The Posh Ones’ these are made from fabric felt and they are just beautiful with wonderful different Christmas themes, each cracker comes with a snap and can be used year after year (the cracker, not the snap!) mine are on their 6th year!
We support a local charity, Plastic Free North Devon, by making a donation monthly when these repurposed items are sold, it only seems right especially as a lot of the fabric is donated.
If you are local to us and get a chance to visit our shop you will see we try our hardest to support other local and UK based business’s that specialise in plastic free products, from shampoo bars to brownies, don’t worry if you aren’t local to us, we have a huge array of products on our website to get you going on your plastic free journey, unfortunately not the cakes, although that could be an option!!!”
