Flower Funky is a small business which I started working from my kitchen table. I collect recycled clothes and vintage fabrics and turn them into my beautiful flower brooches. The backs are made from cut up recycled leather jackets and I also make roses our of old handbags.
I buy second hand retro and vintage jackets and customise them with antique Indian embellishments as well as epaulettes and sequinned wings.
All of the above is inspired by my gran who used to upcycle everything as many did in the war and after . She would make my grandad a shirt from a sheet then take it apart and make a dress for my mum .
