I started BeauBottletops in 2015 when I craved a creative outlet alongside working full time. Creating pieces full of hope and optimism enabled me to maintain my profession in the social care field. Throughout my studies for a Bachelor of Science in Psychology I have remained attached to the art world and exploration of techniques for therapeutic release. Incorporating freedom, self-discovery and a love of life and its intricacy, my pieces are bursts of energy with the observer seeing what they wish. I have a passion for recycling and reusing items that may ultimately be discarded, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Inspiration comes in many forms, my goal is to create sustainable art by re-using items that would otherwise be discarded. I can find inspiration from snooping round local antique and charity shops, to traveling the world and observing other techniques and ideas. Travelling allows me to endeavour to capture the places I visit in a piece, or if I’m feeling ambitious within one BeauBottletop.
I graduated from the University of Southampton in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, having focused on the benefits of creativity and creative outlet for young adults with learning difficulties/disabilities for my dissertation, I decided to start BeauBottletops, my wish is for creative outlets and pieces to be accessible to all, to promote the art process as a therapeutic outlet, advocate and promote mental health wellness and awareness and simply bring some energy to your eyes, homes, shops, pubs, personal spaces and many more.
No two BeauBottletop pieces will be the same, each is handcrafted with patience and devotion, it is a privilege to be able to share them.
