FunkyJunkCreations specialises in making functional, unique & hand-crafted original recycled art & craft objects using mixed media to create a variety of art forms. All FunkyJunk Art starts as just that: junk. The bits of old rubbish we all have lurking somewhere… ‘stuff’ – cardboard, used paper, odd bits and pieces. If they’re colourful or sparkly or can’t be recycled then even better – I’ll try to use them. Each piece aims to create beauty from old rubbish… ‘a silk purse from a sow’s ear’. And who doesn’t love gorgeous?
I make a range of art & craft pieces and decorative objects; to date using clean pre-used packaging, old wrapping paper, rocks, broken picture frames, old mirrors, bits of glitter and sparkle, pre-loved guitar strings, old dress jewellery and vintage fabrics.. to name but some. From unique decorative & memory rocks, to creating bespoke fabric hearts, light-catching beaded window hangings or beautiful handmade papier mache items, each piece is unique.
